Anyone who reads my monthly budget posts knows that I’m not a fan of spending a lot of money. Some people think it’s because I don’t have much to spend, but really, it’s because I have some big goals that I’m saving for so I’m living cheap and socking all of my money away towards those goals. Plus, I enjoy my life as it is, so I don’t really see a reason to spend a lot more.
One of the things that has kept me on a good path towards my goals, is financial tracking with the goal of that tracking to be as lazy as possible. It’s taken a bit of tweaking and playing, but I’ve gotten it down to a system that takes me about 15 minutes per pay period to implement. It would be faster if my pay was more structured, but my amounts and pay dates can vary a bit, so I prefer to do everything manually.
I figured that I would spend a little time cleaning up my tracking docs and go ahead and share them, just in case anyone else might find them useful. I’ve added a lot of notes to clarify functionality, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask away!

Just open the document and if you want to make changes, go to File -> Make A Copy and then you can customize it to your needs.
The Google doc doesn’t seem to exist at that link
Try opening it in incognito. Sometimes google has issues, but that has worked for others.
Huh, now it seems to work, even without Incognito Mode.
